Description

Freek came from another organization after being found on the street; he stayed in a temporary foster home until he could come to the shelter. He is active and very playful, loves being with people, and is super sociable with other dogs.

Freek has megaesophagus; megaesophagus in dogs is a condition where the esophagus, the tube that carries food from the mouth to the stomach, becomes enlarged and loses its ability to contract normally. This makes it difficult for the dog to swallow food and can cause regurgitation. It’s like the esophagus is too large of a tube that can’t push food down to the stomach effectively.
