ARA Happy Update – Protocol established with schools in Almancil Constituency
We believe that educating the next generation is the biggest step we can take to improve Animal Welfare in Portugal.
With this in mind, we recently established a protocol with Primary and Secondary schools in the Almancil constituency. The protocol consists of two phases:
Phase 1: The parents and children can make donations to the shelter and Wooff Charity Shop.
Phase 2: (Pending COVID-19 restrictions) We will be visiting the schools to do talks and educate the students about animal welfare in Portugal. The students will also come to the shelter to interact with the animals and learn about life for shelter animals.
For us, this is some of the most important work that we can do to see real change in Animal Welfare.
We cannot wait to continue educating the next generation!
